Hey there, I'm Julia.
And I'm so glad you're here. Whether it's the first time you are looking into counseling or it's the 50th, it takes courage and grit to seek out support and trust another person with your story. I would be honoured to be that trustworthy person for you, as I have been for others.

I hold Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University. I am licensed in the state of Washington as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (Lic.# MC61341474) under the supervision of Deborah Rue (#LF60099920).

I have worked with at-risk and homeless youth and adults across Kitsap County for the last ten years at The Coffee Oasis, helping them regain or claim stability and a sense of value. I also have 5 years experience working with at-risk high-school and middle-school students in the Bremerton and Bellevue school districts through the AVID program. I worked at Kitsap Mental Health Services in the Youth Inpatient Unit for youth ages 7 to 17 years old, providing therapeutic groups and de-escalation support. Before opening my private practice I was a therapist at a local non-profit counseling center in Poulsbo, working with adolescents and adults. In each of these environments I have had the great privilege of watching how a consistent, safe, empathetic relationship has transformative power in one's life. I feel confident that I can provide this in therapy.

When I am not in my counseling office, I enjoy hiking, camping, reading, painting, resting, gardening, playing, and being with my loved ones.
